An Explanation

You may have noticed that posting frequency around here has been, for want of a better word, rubbish. I can only apologise. In the past few months I organised a wedding, got married, went on honeymoon, and throughout all of this continued to study my research masters. It turns out science is really demanding, and that thesis writing is not nearly as fun as blog writing, but is at least 100% more time consuming.

I am in the midst of another life upheaval, I am career changing, job hunting and (fingers tightly crossed) hopefully house buying. Oh, and one more thing… I am blog relaunching. Over the next few weeks I will be working behind the scenes to relaunch this blog, under a new name, with a new posting schedule and some exciting new subject areas. The content will still be the same, there’ll just be more and it will be more frequent. I’ll also be featuring some super exciting guest posts.

Until the relaunch, this blog will not be updated with any new posts; however I will leave it up as an archive until it can all be transferred over to my new home. In the meantime, you can follow me on Twitter (@Katielase) for your fill of excited science bouncing and cake-related ramblings.

Please bear with me during this time, and be assured that I’ll be back, with more molecules, more nonsense and more cake, and that I still love you all.

Thank you for your patience!

  1. I just wanted to say (and I know I'm a tad late to the party), but the content on these pages is wonderful. The way you write about science is brilliant, incredibly accessible, as well as amusing. And yes…thesis writing is incredibly time consuming! I can't believe you managed to plan a wedding and get married during your masters! Look forward to the new blog! Good luck with the job hunting and house buying!
